You would've thought a rescue ship would be a grand thing- one with designs and large fancy wings and loud rocket propelling technology. One with lots of media attention and news reporters crowding excitedly about it. No… This rescue ship was quite the opposite. You see, this rescue wasn't supposed to be known about by the public. No one was to know that Chigi and Kirk had been sent to a non-existent place. (Everyone was supposed to think it didn't exist). But a few creatures had gotten illegal information- like Fax Ileen. And he wanted to get his paws on the mysterious crystal that lurked there.

He grinned his sharp-toothed grin as he thought about how ingenious his plan had been. He had forced Carlos, a government official, into 'accidently' programing one of the portals for the race of Aleria to go to the Crystalerian island. He knew they would send out a rescue crew for the unfortunate competitors and cut all media attention from their scenario. He would ride the rescue ship out there and smuggle on as much crystal as he could. It was so rare on Aleria, few even believed in its existence. Just a small stone that fit on a ring was worth millions.

Fax couldn't contain his excitement. He had endangered two competitors' lives; he had manipulated a poor bat creature, and many other people along the way. But he didn't care, he justified it by the fact he would be the richest man alive- and they would be glad to be in his favor.

Night was arriving soon. Carlos nervously entered his private office, poking his head in first. Fax chuckled to himself, because the bat seemed to be checking to see if Fax was really a part of reality. Well, he was, and that made Fax shiver with excitement- especially that reality would soon equal money, money, and more money.

"Its time… the ship is ready." Carlos said, clearing his throat several times and looking down at the ground.

"Why are you acting even more nervous than usual, guano head?" Fax sneered. He suddenly felt a rising suspicion. Carlos seemed to be hiding something. Fax couldn't place his finger on what could be the matter- had he missed anything? Any details that would allow his plans to be stopped? He had a bug placed on Carlos so that he could hear anything that was going on… but he hadn't heard Carlos say a single thing all during the day, waiting for the rescue ship to be ready.

"N-no reason. Besides you. I can't believe someone like you…is…" Carlos stuttered. Fax rolled his eyes. He didn't want to back out of his plan now. He followed the bat to the ship. He made sure to wear a man-nurse's uniform and carried a travel case that all the other nurses had- he wanted to blend in. Once on the ship, Carlos gave the arrogant orange fox a room all to himself. Fax shut the door, and paced back and forth. He thought about how insanely long the three weeks were going to be- why did the planet have to be so far away?

Suddenly, over the intercom, a sweet sounding voice announced the ship was ready to leave. Fax smiled… or rather sneered with a nasty grin. "So long suckers!" He couldn't help but say out loud.

Once the spaceship was off the planet and traveling at an immense speed, Fax realized something was wrong- very wrong. He had heard no one walk by his door, no rustling about, no chatty voices, or cheers of excitement. No sounds above him or below, except the low hum of the spaceship. Fax felt his heart skip a beat, nausea filled him, and his mouth went sand dry. Fax quickly opened the door to his room. He walked about the hallways, looking everywhere frantically. He was alone. Over the intercom, a voice spoke to him. It was Carlos.

"Fax, you have been out-foxed. You may have forced me into making the portal glitch, but I grabbed my chance of stopping you. As soon as you thought you could ride a rescue ship to Crystaleria! Ha! You aren't even on the real ship, it already left long ago- the same day I found you in my office. About 3 weeks ago. Now, we will see you soon, but first, I'm disabling all signals off your ship- you can't contact anyone. We can still track you, but once your prison-ship returns to Aleria- in about one hour- you will be in jail… for a looong time."

Carlos smiled a great grin of satisfaction. Every word tasted like blood to him- and he liked blood very much- with his vampirish tendencies and all. He listened to the loud cursing and yelling of the evil fox just enough to completely fill his satisfaction. Then, Carlos hit the button, and the fox couldn't be heard anymore, just tracked.

The real rescue ship would soon be at Crystaleria. Hopefully it would be there in time for the competitors, Kirk and Chigi who, Carlos hoped, would somehow get lucky.

I am writing all of this very quickly- not really editing besides a quick reading. Hope it makes sense and is interesting. ^^''

Ooh very nice. You tell him, Carlos. XD I like that you have Carlos deal with this problem himself, especially since most people are using Vespera for plot stuff.
